did you try www3.google.com? type in your domain and click on the "Find web pages that link to yoursite.com"

The dance is just starting, so it may take a little time.

This is going to be a great update, I have over 160 new links showing up on www3. I really hope everyone else has the same luck with getting their links back.

Weird thing is on www2 it only shows 75 new links.

Wishing you all good luck, and happy sales that stick for the month of Feb.

Some of my sites that lost their links last update have them back this one but others of mine don’t so I’m betting there are still gonna be a lotta people hurtin this update. Of course my best sites are the ones that still don’t have the links back.
It looks like Leaders sites again did ridiculously well.

Hmm more links in, some up, some down.

Sadly Poozleanimus still isn't indexed It's been up for almost a month, I guess I missed the spider.

Too early to tell, but it's a bad update for me.

I think it's fair to say at this stage - if you cross-link all of your sites, you WILL get a nasty penalty or a big drop.

weird crawl for me... I knew I hadn't had a full crawl, but... some new (since last index) pages were included, some weren't -- but it's the newEST ones that ARE included (and no, these aren't linking issues, they're all linked from the same places).

Haven't finished checking previously included pages, but first blush everything seems pretty much the same (which is good for me).

MarySunshine don't feel bad. I just got the news. And I checked and I didn't get my incoming links back either. I noticed on alot of my keywords this one site is like hoggin the whole page with numerous entry pages that redirect you to their url when you click on it. I thought google didn't like that. Well it worked for him/her. They have mad listings.

Oh well, time to build more sites I guess. I'm tired of frettin over google. We just can't seem to figure it out. It does what it wants to.

Based on this update it seems that the competition among affiliate sites on Google is really heating up.

Browsing quite a few keywords we target, it is easy to see the same strategy over and over again among the sites. Obviously there were some very busy affiliates last month.

It is going to get more and more difficult to get those prime keywords and phrases. Six months from now, there will only be affiliate sites in the top 50 on all important Google words, and then they are going to have to radically change the algo.

buckworks: looks like you're out again too

Because this is such a bad update for me and many others, NOBODY is allowed to post

    "woo-hoo!!! I am back! !!! I AM IN THE TOP 5!!! "

    Because it will annoy me

OK its official, I hate Google!

I say --- lets all put Wisenut search boxes on our sites (or some other up and comer)!!

    Boycott!!!! LOL hardy-har-har

Jada...least I'm not alone! I've noticed some of the same things from my target keywords, there is one person who has like 10 doorways in the top 15 or so, they're all exactly the same except a couple words....it just peeves me cause I try really hard to make my sites and pages have at least some structure and substance, not just "keyword, keyword, keyword phrase", click here -affiliate link, but that's what I am seeing a ton of in the top 10!

Hey, maybe we have similar sites and could link to each other....I know you don't like to give out your url, me either....but...well anyway send me a private message if you want to.

    Is:

    "Woo-hoo!!! I'm NOT in positions 5 to 12,384" o.k.?

I believe there is a difference.

I guess I am still not on Google’s dance card. My main site is not in the index at all. Not even with zero links. A version of my site appears via another site’s link but that is about it. Can someone refresh my memory on the proper syntax –11111Site: ???

    I use -111111111 site:yoursite.com exactly as I typed it.

quote:
I think it's fair to say at this stage - if you cross-link all of your sites, you WILL get a nasty penalty or a big drop

I cross link like crazy. Everyone that lost page rank last month has pretty much agreed it is a glitch with Google. Affiliate links don't matter. Between two sites I have well over 10,000 banners/links that are affiliate links.

There is something I did last month, that if you didnt do, you may want to consider; I emailed help@google.com and explained my problem. I didn't get a reply, though. But the last time I checked all my inbound links, and new pages on both sites were included.

Nothing great here. Some up and some down. I made my changes tooooo late. Grrrr! Well at least if it holds I shouldn't see much of a difference. Still no similar page listings though. Whats up with that?

WTG Big Chuck and the rest who did good.

MarySunshine - I hear you with the anger. I'm right witcha.

I'm thinking of a plan B as we speak. Maybe we need to create some doorway pages too. That's what google seems to be feeding on right about now. Same with me, this one merchant is taking the whole freakin first page up with his/her doorways. It's ridiculous.

I'm going to research search engine optimization and then crank out about 20 new sites for experimentation.

If you can't beat'em, join em.

I shot them a note. A nice "Please tell me what I have done to offend you" note.

Do you really believe that it helped you??
