Has anyone tried this? And if so, how much traffic did it bring you compared to other engines? Thanks

    qball0213,

Stay far away from LookSmart .... major Parasiteware™ supporters!

Not to give Jim Traffic  but ...

I thought LookSmart would not admit affiliate sites at all. Says so in their FAQ I think.

Oh ya, how could I forget about that, thanks for the reminder Haiko. Btw, I don't think my site would be considered an affiliate site, I haven't made that jump yet, just don't know how to get started really I guess, I mean there's so much stuff to promote out there. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon36.gif>

I tried it when it first came out and had a grand total of 3 whopping hits. It is just as bad a searchhound, and the google adwords.

Not to mention what haiko said.

I personally advise my web clients NOT TO pay the 299.00 to Looksmart for premium listing services. They won't be around resorting to parasite/scumware alliances to honor their annual traffic listing contract. If they do get bought out the new owners won't honor the old paid listings like a health club membership. Remember how Superstats.com (Mycomputer.com) did this asking all free traffic stats site owners to have to pay 9.95/monthly for the same service. Very few converted and the SE Looksmart isn't special enough to demand this high a fee.
