Have any of you guys tried adwords select with the cpc model? If so, how are your results going?

I'm thinking of giving it a try...

Haven't used it myself but it works on a slightly different basis to Overture, in that you can set a maximum daily spend rate which is a good thing. They will also drop listings that have a click through of less than 0.5%. I've heard mixed reports so far on the value of it, but it is like any advertising, it works for some and not others.

Personally, I think people should be very careful with PPC and Adwords Select - in the medium term the cost will far outstrip the value it brings. Just take a look at the top bids for things like online casino and web hosting, for example.

If it brings the ROI you want, use it.
If it doesn't, don't use it.

Our CTR is 2.2 to 4.5 depending on the Campaign. Some CPC is way out of line with Overture and we will wait for the cost to come down before we will spend our $.
