I previosly had a problem submitting my product selling page to overture... okay... i resubmit for the same keywords, but to a different page (faq page) so it has some content on it... and it still failed

BUT........ BUT......... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH....

THE DIMMWIT that approved it "suggests" I submit the page they originally failed me for, the exact page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHH...

Okay, I got that out of my system... I'm glad I've at least found out how to get listed, don't submit the actual page you want traffic for

P.S. I had to edit this post due to misreading off the original email from them, oops.

my theory is:
Overture is really just a research tool for Cyber-Psychologists studying the effects of Net Rage on the human nervous system.

We'll I'll do what the chappie from overture says to do... maybe he'll do the checking and approve it... it's kinda like russian roulette, or something.

Actually maybe since my site review request on abw the changes will get me listed...

I got a snail mail letter from BendOver telling me they have this new super wizard relevancy and that they want me to visit their site and submit my offers.

It cost them $.34 cents for the stamp and probably another $.16 for the envelope and paper. Not counting the idiot's time who composed the letters time.

Needless to say it go trashed. Considering they rejected every one of my last 10 listings - all of which by the way were for OUR OWN PRODUCTS without any affiliate links
save the out link to BendOver. And they all were rejected for relavancy. Our MasterMind
Lazer Cannon Woods, which are Golf clubs made for us under private label and which are an exclusive product was denied under the key words - golf clubs, golf, and an assorted number of golf related terms.

Now, it's personal - they could give me listings and I wouldn't take them. NO ONE could be that stupid to rejuect actual real golf clubs from the terms golf clubs.

Here's another Classic one...

I submitted a site with the title "Auto Insurance For New York State " under search terms like "Car insurance", "auto insurance", automobile insurance" etc...

It was declined for the following reason...

Location-Specific Sites:
Advertisers whose services can only be rendered or delivered within a certain
region will have to specify that region in their terms and reference that
region in their title and/or description. For example, a Toledo, Ohio Lawyer
can bid on "Toledo Lawyer" and "Ohio Lawyer," if substantiated on their site;
however, this same lawyer could not bid solely on the term "Lawyer."

Fine, if that's their new rule, then why does Overture still have many listings for "CA only" insurers and many other state-specific websites under broad search terms? Look at "car insurance" and you'll see what I mean;

Car Insurance -Overture results

What the F!?K!!!! Listings two and three are exacltly the kind of listing I was just denied!!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get a nervous twitch in my neck now, every time I think about Overture. My eye won't shut properly either. Kind of like Inspector Clouseau's Police Chief. The unfortunate thing is, every time I think about Overture I start thinking about how badly I would REALLY like to be in their database.

Then I have to slap myself two, trhee times.

Somehow I was able to get a little more than 200 keywords accepted about three weeks ago. However, I have begun deleting some of them, lots of visitors and not enough sales.

I have about 30 keywords with Overture and have found that the traffic I recieve from them doesn't buy much. I have had better luck with Kanoodle, even though they seem to have frequently server issues. Been thinking about trying Google.
Yes, I have had my share of problems with Overture.

Yippee... 12 out of 14 phrases accepted... but they're still stoopid...

"dream weaver 3 template" is acceptable, but "dream weaver 4 template" is not acceptable... how the hell do they know that?

Contact billing and cancel the account - they will credit your card with no questions asked.

We had an account rejected for low search rates. We cancelled. Then we start getting Email asking why and if there was anything they could do to help.

We just copy/paste the rejection letter and reply - nothing ever came of it.

They had told me that decisions were final... I resubmitted them (reviewed within 24 hours) and they get accepted... maybe try again and resubmit first?

Lola- Because in Overture publishers have bid the 'gambling' related keywords up to a zillion dollars. And, well, at Heyder's search engine, let's just say it's not quite up there yet.

Meaning, Heyder still has to work for a living...lololol.
