Adam, thanks! I think it is a good idea. It might also get some more Editors to dmoz.

quote:
In order to ensure that those who really want help can get it in as expedient a way as possible, certain rules have been drawn up. In particular, the following topics may not be discussed.

Specific complaints about being removed as an editor.
Complaints about specific people working or volunteering their time at ODP.
Discussion of the ways in which ODP runs itself.

Discussion of any confidential information by current, or past, ODP editors.
Discussion of how to use the ODP to optimize search engine rankings and site promotion. This ODP is not a search engine, and we don't rank or optimize web sites.
Discussion of editing issues - these should be discussed in the editor forums, not in the public forum.
Discussion of ways to circumvent or violate official DMOZ policy.
Discussion of your "Freedom of Speech" rights. While the ODP is based on democratic principles, it does not try to imitate a democratic government. You are free to talk about anything you want... somewhere else.

What else is their to post? ODP sucks, their submission policy as it pertains to affiliate sites and bias prejudices due to what I am sure is academic elitism, SUCKS, as do the people who run the show.

I did apply, and got rejected. I was told to submit my site, instead, and didnt get added. The editors are not the problem, completely. The problem is the people who run the show at ODP and their blatant bias toward affiliate sites, IMO. Personally, IMHO, the people who run ODP are in bed with some companies/websites, I just aint figured out if ODP is the one getting f'ed, or they are doing the f'ing - lol!

Some editors are okay, but some just seem to be looking for an excuse to feel superior (similar to Oversure!).

It will be a cold day in H that I apply to be an editor of DMOZ, when that would mean doing the very thing I can't stand--categorically rejecting GOOD sites just because the owner of those GOOD sites wants to make money without being a merchant, and doesn't want to be a library for every info-moocher that clicks a link either!

As for those snooty terms for that forum, if all those guidelines are followed, it does look like there's nothing left to talk about that isn't already answered, clearly, in the FAQs on DMOZ's site.
