I cant believe my eyes. Webmasterworld, and here. Over at sef at JimWorld... them too.

Attention: There is no update. False alarm. Go back to your homes, forget what you heard. Again, there has been NO UPDATE

This is crazy... everyone has fell for it, and not a thing to show for it. How does an entire webmaster community go into denial, and see an update when there is really not one going on? Dayum!

Chuck this just proves that you know nothing! Haven't you checked out www4.google.com? Clearly they have updated all the sites.

Apparently ... There was a new index for a brief period after midnight last night but something wasnt right and they kicked back the old index.

Some people stay up late and check to be the first ones to report ...

I have been watching google closely and what I see is that they are now updating a little at a time.

I have seen certain pages of my sites change but on different days over the last week or so. They may be doing away with the major updates where it all happens at once.

This morning I saw that two different googlebots where at the main index page of my site overnight and now the sites has been updated. A few days ago the same thing happened to another of my sites. They may be trying something entirly different by having an update going on, on a steady basis rather than all at once at a certain date of the month.

It's a little too early to tell but I have 20 or more sites and I am seeing this pattern starting to develope. Also I see www2 and www3 showing old stuff which is weird, usually I see the new there first.

I agree with Big Chuck - all this dang on fuss over NOTHING. I don't see no freakin update.

I also agree with Professor - you better get all ya eggs out that one basket and diversify that traffic. If all my traffic came from google, I would have screwed a long time ago when it axed my main sites with that link virus.

I know I'm going to regret saying this, but there does appear to be an update at www2. Don't blink, you may miss it.

HELP!

Explain this one...

The update that I saw yesterday, the one that included my new submissions, has been moved to www2.google and www3.google. As far as I can see, the regular google index has returned back to what it was on Friday!

Anyone else notice this?

Also, does this happen often? Will the new index move back from ww2 & ww3 in the near future?

This is driving me crazy!

I notice it every update.
I usually give it around 7 days to settle down.

I dont know what my pr is. It used to be a 5, before ODP/Google screwed me out of dmoz listing. f 'em.

I refuse to download the Google tools bar. I dont believe in providing them with free demographics. They need to pay like anyone else.

The period may vary but that's pretty much what they do.

I like the index that is on www3 right now. It has my site back that google dropped in December. Great rankings so far too. I sure hope this doesn't change much.

Now if I can just figure out why Google dropped it or why google added it back in this time, I will be all set.
