I want to know the details of what items people are purchasing.

Is there a way to see that in the reports that I am missing? I can see where they bought from, but not what they bought.

Is there something I can add to the links to show me this?

    TIA!

    ~Michelle

Its called "SID" (shopper id), and its under the "show advanced options" button when you get your links HTML.

But you should know that using the SID does not tell you what was sold....just what link got them to your merchant's site. After they get to the merchant they may buy something else, but you will never know that.

Only way to know specifically what the consumer eventually ended up buying is to ask the merchant. Each sale has a unique OID ( order id number ) We supply the info if asked by an affiliate , as well as does other merchants. But most merchants don't want to spend the time to do so. That is why having a good relationship with your merchants is important.

"Only way to know specifically what the consumer eventually ended up buying is to ask the merchant. "

This is highly annoying, especially when trying to target ads and visitors. Linkshare does a pretty fair job of letting you know what has been sold, and to what region of the US.

Unfortunately , cj doesn't have this ability , at least that I am aware of. Ask they might someday include the option. In the meantime , ask , you might receive.
