    All,

Can a .US get as much or equal exposure as a dot com?

Can I get a #1 listing in google with a .US?

    I'm banking on it!

I've gotten #1 positions in Google with bizhosting/geocities sites before so I don't see any reason why not.

Yeah, no search engines discriminate against any top level domain names. However, a .us is a regional domain, so the overall level of exposure is likely to be lessened by this, particularly in regional Inktomi and Teoma based search engines. MSN.co.uk, for example, used to use the same Ink. results as MSN.com, but they have been experimenting with a European filter recently.

Because of the way Ink are doing this, there is no automatic filtering of .com sites - they simply look at community and inbound links to determine whether a site is relevant to a particular country. I suspect that a .us will be at a disadvantage here.
