I had this visitor logged in to 2 of my sites that are not in the ODP, not anywhere I can find anyway, do you know whats up?

    5/4/02, 19:55 -- 64.236.138.92 -- Robozilla/1.0 -- index.htm -- http://directory.mozilla.org

Looks like the link checking robot but to the best of my knowledge my site is not included? I do not want to post the url on here but I could provide them privately if needed. Any editors think they know whats up?

    Thanks,
    --Peter

You are correct about robozilla being the automated link checker but how it found you without being listed in DMOZ is a mystery.

You could PM me the URL and I could see if your site is listed and buried somewhere without your knowledge.

    Best I can offer.

Same thing here, 2 robot hits each on two of my sites that are not in ODP.
Maybe it's following an inbound link?

It could be going through editors bookmarks or site listings that are sitting in "unreviewed" lists.

I'm not sure if Robozilla checks unreviewed links in the ODP, but it's worth searching for your domain name in any case.

Editors also have semi-private bookmarks which cannot be searched normally but can be seen in http://dmoz.org/Bookmarks/ - Robozilla does check these though, so an editor might have bookmarked your site in a part of the directory you wouldn't normally see.

Addendum - Debtcafe: taking a wild guess on your URLs I can see that they're probably listed in the "See Editor Notes" category which is also semi-hidden. If these are multiple submissions they may be listed here for special treatment when submitted, especially if they're URLs you've submitted many, many times.
