Another case of site copying (can't I just murder the b*****d?).
What's the best thing to do re: CJ - report it through AAQ or is there another contact email?

From what I understand, they aren't watching their email anymore ("no longer supported" as they say), so use AAQ.

But it's the MERCHANTS who need to be contacted--directly! Contacting CJ won't get the loser deactivated. Plus, you can see which merchants are *really* the good ones by their responses to the problem. The ones that don't care are probably more likely to condone other rot, as well.

Note that not all of the good ones will respond to your email! Rather, some just silently deactivate the copier.

I would contact the copier first and if that doesn't work, contact their host.

Ok, I've contacted everyone - it's such a blatant copy hopefully someone will deactivate them.

Amazing, I can see they've put a lot of work into copying my site - why didn't they just build something original?

Make sure to contact the hosting company. Most have a terms of service that specifically addresses intellectual property rights.

They may make you fill out lots of forms, but generally will yank the offending site.

1st merchant has suspended their account already.

    1 down 1 to go.

Great to see there are some merchants that do care.

    I'm feeling better already

Had a siilar thing happen to me, and I only had one of my good merchants who actually did anything about it, he got there accounted suspended, the rest we're like oh well we'd have to prove you did it first, or, we can't really do anything did you contact their host. Stuff I'll remember someday when a decision needs to be made.

It'll be a good idea to also file a DCMA complaint, this will make sure google does not show the copied pages in it's search results.

Agree that you should file a DCMA complaint with the hosting company also.

    Result!
Less than 24 hours after I found it, the site has been taken down in response to a Cease and Desist email, abuse reports to the domain registrar and web host, and complaints to the merchants.
