The googlebot hits 6 pages of my site consistently every day at the same time 3:07am - what is she looking for? I have an index of product pages on each of my pages, will she update as I update - pulling any new pages and following them out so to speak from those 6. (I have 151 pages in the google data base, they all carry the same list of product pages)

Google has to be female. You are suppose to know exactly what she wants without her ever telling you.

The googlebot is a man. Remember a month or so ago when he was several weeks late. Didnt bother to call or send a message. Just shows up 2 weeks late with no explination and expects us to be thrilled.

Naw naw, Googlebot's definitely a MAN!!!

He goes his own way no matter how many maps you show him!

He insists on his own classification of "importance". Whether that has any relation to what you are trying to say is up for grabs. He may well fixate on a single word you used just for conversation, and turn that into the "subject"!

It is sometimes impossible to convince him that the word is NOT the subject being discussed. If he does finally become convinced, he is likely to drop the issue entirely rather than admit a mistake.

He thinks he is doing you a big favor just by showing up.

If he actually pays attention to you that's something special.

Most everyone wants to be his "#1".

Most everyone would like him all to themselves.

He makes up rules arbitrarily and people are supposed to just do them because "he said so".

He tries to consume the entire thought processes of his suitors.

But to keep him from coming around takes very explicit instructions (robots.txt). He actually would like to visit every girl (site) in the world!

He thinks he can do anything he wants, but if you don't follow his rules he gets mad.

Therefore I believe Google is absolutely and definitely a man.

I wish googlebot was asexual so it could reproduce.

We are being cute instead of answering the question because we don't know!<IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon38.gif>

But I would guess that eventually he will get to your other pages, if you have links from the pages of unusual interest.

I did get Googlebot coming back repeatedly when I did a lot of updating (adding new pages, NOT redoing old stuff) during a crawl last year, but not at the same exact time every night! And when I finished putting new pages up, he stopped being all that interested.

The exact time part is rather strange and I don't know what to make of that...

In any case, consider yourself lucky.

When googlebot DOESN'T come to visit......

THEN there is cause for grave concern.

Google bot is a child: playing here and there and everywhere and sometimes crying for its mamas breast " Yahoo"!!!

Hmmm - she's been at it again. Maybe I'll leave out a plate of cookies or something for her to nibble on.

Make a site index with a links to all the pages you want google to see and put a small link to it on your most googled page.

I have a index list of all the key product pages on each of my pages - is it better to do up 1 index links page and just link to it from each of the pages?
