    Hey,
If i submit to ink, paid
and my site is say www.dave.com
but dave.com redirects to the actual site at www.geocities.com/dave
will this screw up the indexing if I submitted www.dave.com to ink?
ie. will ink still index my meta title and description?
    Thanks

    daweller1,

I would suggest that you replicate the geo index page over the dave.com. Then add a meta refresh to the head section with a delay of about 30 seconds.

This way ink will have enough time to index dave.com and your visitors will have 10 seconds to see your site and click on any link they want to. These links will all point to your geo site, and if by chance they have not clicked within 10 seconds it will auto refresh to your geo index anyway.

If you are just using a redirection registrar then this may be tricky.

I don't think ink will follow the redirect and index the output.

In this case I suggest you contact ink for the specifics.

Ink. don't like redirects or meta refresh at all. Chances are they will spider and index the geocities page if anything. You may, however, get caught in a spam filter and end up with nothing in the database at all.

Buy some proper hosting and you don't need to think about it.

    Thanks for input,
I have proper hosting, but am already using it for another domain.
I think I might just take a chance with $20 and submit it and see what happens.
I also submitted it to Google, and supposedly Google spiders on the 23rd. I dunno if Google's spider is similar... but maybe if it spiders OK with Google, it would work with Ink.

    addition....

    OK,
I think I found an answer. I am kind of new to this stuff, but I think the redirect service I am using is cool with the meta tags... http://www.directory-inc.com/fu/info/fu_features.asp
