Okay, I have a site that was listed in dmoz last week. You can find it when you click through the categories, but it does not show up on a search. It has been listed for almost a week. How long before it shows up via the search box, and will that affect google, if it is included but not indexed when google dances?

I had a site that took over 2 weeks to show up via search.

I dont see how this will affect google at all. How does google find all the sites listed in DMOZ? Does it perform a search? doubtful. Does it simply go through all categories? I'd say that's teh more likely scenario.

The usual turnaround for getting on the search is about a day as the catalogue is usually reindexed overnight.

However, the search is often broken or overloaded, but don't worry about it too much.. hardly anyone uses the DMOZ directory directly, but most of the hits will come when the entry is uploaded into Google.
