I'm amazed at the bids made by some affiliate marketers at Overture.

When do they figure their ROI?
    Are they on crack?

Ya got to know that there is something wrong when the merchant itself will not bid higher that #5

This business takes patience BUT these guys/gals should have gotten a clue after 30 days.

    end rant

There are many folks bidding stupidly, that's for sure, but they're smarter than me in one respect: as affiliates, how are they even getting in to Overture these days?

I don't remember the last time I had affiliate listings accepted by Overture.

More than likely, they had a listing before the changes and Overture has not gotten around to changing it yet. Even though this policy was made months ago, I still have several affiliate site listings within Overture.

I don't think I'll ever understand some extreme bids either. Possibly these folks get a ton of traffic through other means, do not have a good tracking system, and thus do not see which form of traffic is producing for them.
