I have an old site where I broke into affiliate marketing and recently reconverted everything and put in on a new site and domain.

    I want to remove the Affiliate marketing portion from the old site but, it has good rankings and is getting a few hits.

    I ended recently put in redirects from the old site to the new site.

    Will the redirects cause problems with SE rankings on my new site? Or should I just remove content on the old site and add a regular link to each page to get the value from the ranking and leave it alone at that?

    I surely don't want to do anyhting that may cause issues with being listed in google so if there are any issues here I'd sure appreciate knowing it.

    I'm a little confused as to what you've actually done and why.

    You have an old site that presumably ranks OK and has inbound links, right ?

    You've taken most of the content from this site and put it on a new domain ?

    You've redirected to

    Have I got this right ? Let me know and I can probably answer your question. Also how have you redirected from to, ie: javascript, meta refresh, 302 etc.

    You've got it right MarkyMark. It's a long story and really does make sense for reasons I wont get into .

    Anyway I'm redirecting with :

    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=">
