Noticed on AOL that some of my pages were comming up twice for the same search. In checking http://google-dance.miniunternehmen.de/ plural terms now are showing different results. It appears google is now on a 3 week cycle. Any thoughts on this??

AOL seems to have messed up Google's clustering feature - hence multiple pages in the SERPs.

The main Google dance hasn't started.

Lost a few positions on almost all sites last month. Most of my sites are in the quick crawl/fresh cycle, though, so I got them back up pretty fast but once they factor in link pop/PR etc for the main update, I am expecting some seriously good results this month.

I haven't got much going into this month's update.
How can I push a site over pr5 without a Yahoo or Dmoz listing?

You need inbound links to up your PR. Swap enough Quality links and your PR will increase. It is a lot of work bur it will work!

Yes, I did just that, but it took over 200 inbounds. I usually get myself psyched up and then spend a day or two emailing for link swaps.
Wonder how many inbounds it takes for PR 7?

This sounds like a good project for someone with a working knowledge of the Google API and some coding skills.. it must be possible to predict PR fairly accurately.

Anyway.. I have 3 main content sites.

Site #1 - PR6 pretty much throughout because of a large number of deeplinks. 225 inbound links, PR of first 10 Google results is 5,6,5,5,4,4,6,5,2.

Site #2 - PR6 at the front page, mostly PR5 and PR4 on the others. 58 inbounds, PR of the first 10 is 4,4,4,5,4,4,4,2,4,5.

    Site #3 - PR5 and PR4 throughout. 77 inbounds, PR 6,6,5,2,2,2,3,4,2,2

Looking at PR7 sites, it seems that you really need to have an inbound link at PR7 or PR8 to "easily" get to PR7. I guess enough PR6s could no it too.

dynamoo.com - geeky stuff for umm geeks.

I've noticed that my PR6 pages get visited regularly by Googlebot and updated in the index every few days.. new pages aren't going in, but if I change the index pages it's working, so I'm getting some promising hits.

Fingers crossed about keeping PR6.. need more links! Now, if I can get to PR7 then I'll be happy.
