Will Google or Yahoo penalize me for using FrontPage. Some of the code looks funny. Is this going to be a problem? Thanks.

I build giant websites using frontpage every day. It's just a tool to build html.

The problem you can get into is using their "Themes". Those things are baaaaaaaaaaaaad, and can load your pages down with code that is completely useless.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't have good seo rankings by using FP. It's just a tool.

I use FP and have had no problems with PR and getting really good results on Google. I have a site that gets over 100 hits a day from Google. The one thing that I would say is make sure you put a good page descritption in page properties, it can and will make a differance when people are searching.

You can rank just fine with FrontPage. However, it does put in a whole bunch of irrelevant, useless and unnecessary code (such as empty td tags, empty font tags, etc.) . These things are looked at by spiders and do have a (minor) impact on rankings. SE spiders like clean code - so if you do use FP, clean up the code when you've finished creating the pages.
