I've been considering building a personal homepage and submitting it to Yahoo just to get a site in on yahoo. Then, quite sneakily, a few months later I would add a link with a couple of descriptive words on my personal site. Is this a good idea or are my suspicions that Yahoo is sinking in quick sand correct and it wouldn't be worth the time?

I meant to say a link to an affiliate site followed by a few descriptive words (very similar to keywords)

Probably both a waste of time and money. You could spend the money and still not get listed.

I was thinking of a personal homepage because you don't have to pay the 299.99, you can just submit it and wait a few months and hopefully it will be added.
just a thought.
