Does anyone know why Google displays a date next to some search results but not others? Is this the refresh date of that site? If so, how do you get a faster refresh? It seem some update almost daily.

Googlebot comes in two varieties, Deepbot and Freshbot.
Deepbot does the deep crawl every month and Freshbot updates some sites more frequently and it is the date of the last Freshbot visit you are seeing. The frequency of Freshbot visits seems to be based on many factors including PR, how often the page is changed, and so on.

I've been waiting for google to list one of my sites for a few weeks now but have seen nothing yet. However, I see crawl8.googlebot.com, or crawl10..., so on and so forth in my log files. What am I suppose to make of this? Does this mean I can expect it to be listed soon?
