    Hi all, newbie here

I am having problems with google (don't we all)
I have a page that is already listed on google. The thing is I want to test the page with a different file name and also some other cosmetic changes.

So what I did was deleted all the cotent from the first page a redirect it to the second. However Google hasn't picked this up and is still showing the content from the first page. It is not picking up the second page at all!! I even hand submitted the second page but to no a avail.

How do I get google to disk the first page and instead have a look at my second page?? Its been about 4 weeks now.

Hope someone can help, thanks in advance

    Cheers

    Dolphin

Wait until the next update and you should see the new page included. 4 weeks isn't enough time for Google to have picked up and included the new page in the database. And there's no value to hand submitting whatsoever.

It is hard to imagine now, but I new nothing at all when I first started either. I had never heard of Google. I have learned so much since then. A lot of it has come from this forum!

The Google update happens once a month, the last 2 times around the 10th plus or minus 3 days. So about another 10 days, then it can happen anytime.

I noted this in another thread, but didn't get a response ... the googlebot came in for a much longer than usual visit over the weekend. Is that a "normal" thing?

I saw a lot of Googlebot activity from the deep bot this weekend also. It's all good.
