My site that dropped to 9 is now back to 3. The cached pages are not working though. Is it real or is googlebot just teasing?

I think now it's updated for real.

My website was on www2.google and www3.google
but it only showed up on www.google today.

However, the page rank bar is still grey. I wonder why?

No update yet, GoogleGuy over at Webmasterworld said more than days, less than a month. This update isn't like the good ole days where you can tell when it started and when it did, everything was settled after 4-5 days. Right now you'll see some weird traffic patterns as everything seems to be jumping around, in and out. No one really knows for sure what exactly is going on, just a lot of guessing. With this update its just best to wait and see.

GoogleGuy's exact words were "I would say more than days, less than months."

That sounds to me like a month

I see the new index!

Too bad the buyers don't seem to be typing in the same terms I checked when I said I liked the index last week (when I checked on www2)...seems the Commission Check has an entirely different outlook on the SERPs!

Yup it sure looks like the update has occured with the cr*ppy new index. Lost a site. Some dead sites back from the dead. Descriptions are three months out of date.

Really rubbish index. They should be ashamed of themselves. It's taken over two weeks for this to happen. <sigh>

Sounds to me like there putting all the furniture in the yard, taking stuff down off the shelves and doing a thorough SPRING CLEANING.

Do you think the update is complete? Where are backlinks? I wonder if they will be added or not... or when???

Think I need a beer.

They aren't done. It still has to propagate on
www-ex.google.com - (where you get when you type www.google.com)
www-ab.google.com
www-in.google.com
www-zu.google.com

This should take several more days. Then they will run the filters and we will see what remains. As for me, I'm a happy camper, so far.

But, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. I may be #1 but if that doesn't translate to more sales, so what?

I usually don't get upset when Google does its thing.

Yet, my PR on a pure content site is all over the board. Up yesterday, down today, it does not drive much affiliate stuff, but is frustrating.
