    Hi

Does anyone know if it makes any difference whether I use the standard w3.org stuff at the start of the source code? For exmaple, should a site have this code in it:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">

If yes, what exactly is this and why/where would I get this code?

    Thanks

    Dylan
