Hmm last three days I have hundreds of bots, crawlers and spiders, robots hitting my pages. What's up with that? based on my logs? google came to my site and fetched almost 100 pages in the last three days And I'm getting a lot more crawlers I never have seen before? Anyone else seeing wierd logs lately? cj bots have been visiting my sites daily too. hmm wierd.

Jason ...remove all references to FreeBies/Freebees from you site and those strange bots will probably go away.

The CJ bot seems to be programs to seek out potential affiliate abusers using keyword triggers. I don't even see the bugger on my sites, but I do not have and keywords to trigger the visits. All those with incnet based sites probably see frequent visits.

From what I understand, "cjbot" will visit all registered sites and all pages that have generated traffic. It visits my site about once a week or so.

GoogleBot, Inktomi/Slurp, and AltaVista/Scooter have been gulping up my site the past few days.

Slurp seems to be the hungriest; He's been nailing the same pages 2 and 3 times a day. I finally emailed them and asked if this was normal behavior. Still no reply.

Thats good Jason, lookout for that MSNbot, thats another hungry bot on the loose. My site is open to bots.
