    Hey Folks,

In my logs the fav.ico request comes up, which I know is generated from Microsoft Internet Explorer. What I'm not sure of is if this request is from people actually bookmarking the site or not?

Yeah, that's IE users bookmarking your site.

Isn't is also an opera visitor who just visits the page? (without bookmarking it)

The favicon shows up on the page tabs within opera.

Also in 7.1 Netscape every time you load a page with favicon.

It used to be a good measure of who was bookmarking you but I don't think so anymore.
