Some MSN changes, will they be going to Google like PPC text ads?
Search for "jeans" at msn and msn uk

MSN UK have been doing the adwords-style PPC stuff for a couple of weeks and I like it. Puts a lot of extra value on the number 4 Overture listing - which is fine by me.

Thanks for the link to that article. Don't know why they don't just kill off LookSmart now and save some time.

Havent MSN got a new spider in the wild right now? Maybe I am mistaken but I thought they were bringing their SERPS population home.

I'm not sure *what* MSN is up to, but I'm getting tons of extra (free) traffic the last couple of days.
Some sites even get twice the traffic Google generates.
I starting to love msn more and more each day
(traffic seems to convert better also)

    I'm doing it

Do you think MSN will stay with Overture listings since Yahoo bought Overture? Or, do you think they will use Overture for a while until they get their own PPC program going then ditch Overture?

I see MSN bringing everything in house.

Well, MSN's bot - the imaginatively named MSNBot, is crawling now, so their own search engine is in development. I"d expect they would drop Overture in favour of their own PPC, but there's no indication yet that this is what they're doing. After all, they could just buy FindWhat/Espotting and use that instead - might work out cheaper for them.

Is there any way to "addurl" for the msnbot?

No, not yet. If you've got lots of links from the core of the web, it will probably find you eventually.

How would you define the "core of the web"?
