I have been reading for about two months other viewpoints concerning Inktomi bots sucking up bandwidth etc.
I've seen three different bots crawling around in my log files.

I'm seeing a real trend of increased MSN referals!
    Anyone else?

Not here, its been tough to keep my sites in inktomi these days.. Seems Yahoo is really tightening the belt on inktomi to clean up their search engines. They dropped a few of my sites saying that there wasn't enough unique content... Even though the site updated almost everyday!!

Inktomi got us through some tough times when Google dumped our sites. But lately MSN traffic has been lighter, and Google domintaes our logs.

I have a few rather new sites that do better with MSN (through Inktomi) but I think the situation will reverse within a few months...

Unless that MSNbot is preparing me some big surprises ...

    Jup, here too.

They first picked up a site I kind off had forgotten about. They started easy and brought me a couple of 100 visitors (of the spending kind).
From there a increase every day, and they started to pick up some other sites of mine aswell. Some sites MSN bring double to tripple the traffic Google
does, in 1 site even 8 times more.

At first I thought it was going to be some kind of teaser, I expected a email that said someting like:
    "See what we can do?
Now PAY for inclusion and you can have this kind of traffic all the time, your site will be removed in three days"

(hope i dont bring them to ideas)
((I never paid for inclusion anywhere btw))

Can anyone else confirm that the traffic is more rewarding as well, BTW?
In a converting point of view?

    I'm doing it

Recieved wisdom (alright, M$ press releases) say that you can look to see the new "MSNBot" powered search in Spring 2004

    >> Can anyone else confirm that the traffic is more rewarding as well, BTW?

MSN traffic tends to be good B2C traffic (like AOL. Home users etc Google is for techies)
