This story ran in an Oregon newspaper yesterday.

    http://www.oregonlive.com/metrowest/...5878856220.xml

Later that same day, Google had removed all their sites from Google's index.

Even later that same day, the company in question pulled all it's websites, and this morning they've even removed their DNS.

    Someone's been taught a lesson.

Notes on the claims in the article:

"The Power-Toys-Experts site was drawing up to 60,000 visitors a day during late fall's prime buying season"

Pretty good for a site that ranks 440,761 at Alexa and had 47 pages in Google's index.

Taking one keyword they've had indexed at Google - "sony walkman accessory", well, they weren't in the top 300 results for that term.

"I still lie awake at night worrying about Google changing something," said Kawasaki

Well, isn't it ironic, don't ya think?

Anyone see any mention of this article in any othe forums? (PM me the links please).

How dumb could you be to publicize such things?

A professional SE spammer playing all the tricks for clicks. Bet the expired domain traffic sites do drive-by installs of Adware. What's the bet he's a pro at e-mail spamming to complete his sleezeball act. I'd best shut up as he's probably a ABW member.

I assume that's your suspicion. Which would mean that you know of some shady characters here ...??
I wouldn't doubt that some lurkers are shady and perhaps there are wolfes disguised as sheep among the members, too.
