Was also reading over at WMW, something might be happening with the Yahoo index now, could be more testing, but people are posting seeing a lot more INK in there.

    The transition started today.

"Yahoo! will be modifying its web-indexing robot (crawler) user-agent to reflect our company name. This is the crawler we use to build a searchable index for the Yahoo! search services. To ensure consistency and minimal disruption, we will continue to maintain the "Slurp" name within our web crawler user agent and continue to support "Slurp" as part of any robots.txt files that references this.
Yahoo! Slurp will continue to obey the Robot Exclusion Standard (http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/exclusion.html).

The complete User-Agent that will be logged as part of this transition will be shown in your logs (if user-agent logging is enabled) as follows:

    Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Yahoo! Slurp; http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/slurp)

For more information on the Yahoo! Slurp user-agent, robots.txt usage or accesses please refer to the slurp information page now located at:

    http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/slurp/

This transition will take affect starting Monday Feb 16th, 2004. "

Seems they did a couple of hours of broad based testing and now its over. I wish they would go ahead make the switch myself. Don't see the new Google index rolling over either which was supposed to happen today.

I'm seeing Yahoo hits in the past few minutes from listings that are undoubtedtly Ink (a site that has not been touched by google yet)

Can't reproduce those results in a Yahoo search myself even after clearing cookies. They must be delivering them only is a certain region.

I'm still seeing the Yahoo listings fluctuating wildly and they're definitely from INK

Yeah, kind of a false alarm over at Webmasterworld
"Yahoo switches from Google to their own algo based results."

People are starting to see it more, i'm seeing it now, everybody is just waiting for it to settle, but it should be soon.

Looks pretty nasty, at least in the dozen or so areas I monitor.

Spammers hould be happy, looks pretty easy to manipulate.

At any rate, the next 6 weeks or so should be interesting, as our sales still look strong (google's relevance definietly looks better to me).

I'm seeing the same nasty here and not just for my site. There's some terms I expect a certain site to be near the top that is a merchant and even they are nowhere to be seen
