Type some keywords in. Are you seeing the same results? I have for the keywords i checked for the last half hour. Maybe just testing or maybe the switch is on. Ok an hour now, i think it's on. Pages i just paid to get included in INK a few todays ago, i'm seeing in Yahoo.

Well, i'm still seeing it, never seen it go for this long, but a mod over at WMW says she still sees Google. Could be longer testing, regional testing, who knows.

I think when Yahoo does switch over, it will be a good thing. This change gives Google a little less hold on the SE world.

I'll head over to Yahoo and see what shows up in my area.

Just checked, still seeing Google at this end on several search terms, but did find one that wasn't. Maybe they're in the process of making the change now.

I am seeing INK listings on some keywords. This is a good thing for me, especially after the beating I took from the Florida update.

    I'm still seeing google results.
How can you check which pages are indexed in ink by the way? Like you can use inurl:domain.com on google.

This will be good for my old sites bad for my new ones. Ink hasn't spidered them at all for some reason

Must be a regional, ip thing then. People have reported seeing Yahoo/Ink for as long as 2 weeks then going back to Google. I'm still seeing INK but the traffic i see coming from Yahoo is sometimes Google, sometimes INK. Going to do a big INK submission this weekend.

In MSN you can go to the advanced seach page. Enter your domain for the domain and for the search term enter ""

    That's two double quotes.

    Thanks MrSpeed.
Seems like only my index page is indexed, hopefully the other pages will follow soon.

Just in case you're missing it, from webmasterworld:

"Yahoo switches from Google to their own algo based results."

Thread going on about with more and more people seeing it, it's either starting to happen or some extremely broad based testing. My logs are showing it. Traffic is looking great, will add a little more PFI tonite

It's still fluctuating here. I saw Ink results in Yahoo about an hour ago and now it's showing up as Google.

The switch is not fully implemented yet, but it certainly looks like it soon will be.

    Dear Yahoo and Google,

Myself and my clients spend thousands of dollars a month with your search engines. If you could both see your way clear to updating your results with Inktomi and the 64.233.161.xx results respectively, I promise I won't reduce our spend even though this will mean we will own the web outright.

    Please get a move on.

    Lots of love,

Go Yahoo, I'm seeing a great increase in traffic and it's all from Yahoo.

About time, it might even out the playing field besides, I'm sick of being a google strumpet

    It's official

    http://www.searchenginewatch.com/sea...le.php/3314171

"In a surprising move, Yahoo isn't replacing Google with Inktomi. Rather, the company has developed a brand new search engine,"

"The Yahoo Search index is capturing the full text of web pages, up to a 500K limit. This is greater than the 101K maximum indexed by Google."

    Wow!

    Thanks for the update Trust.

To surprise the web community is quite a feat. Good job Yahoo!

    1. I love it my traffic I up and I’m getting lots of yahooers.
    2. I didn’t run out and spend a bundle on ink. I think ink is good I just prefer free traffic.
    3. This will give birth to a new way of optimization and SEO tactics.

Trust, how much did you spend over at Ink? jk(friendly jab)

LOL, yeah they did throw a little loop. Luckily Yahoo is looking very good and Google too. The only pages i paid to get in were ones that i constantly updated and my better performing ones. So mainly did it for the 48 hr. refresh rate and the traffic they'll get just from MSN will more than pay for itself. Other sites i have are all in free at MSN, so thats good. Might do some more for the next couple of months then stop. Don't know when MSN will get their own search up and running and when they do it looks like nobody will be using INK or maybe just some of it.

Well for me - the only pages I can see in the new Yahoo are the ones I paid to get into INK - the rest disappeared over the last 12 months and are still MIA in anything INK related.

We're not too pleased with the new results here, our site has gone right down to the bottom of the first page, with nothing above all that relevant to the search - mostly links sites etc.

Even our paid-for directory listing no longer gets displayed above the web results. I'm not sure how long that has been the case though.

Suprised to see one of our affiliates is paying for sponsored matching of those keywords though.

Is Yahoo still as big of a player as it used to be? I think we have been mostly ignoring it for a while now, maybe it's time to change that...
