Oh Yeah!!! I'm a happy camper!!! Previously unranked pages have nice ranks and a couple of sites moved up to 6's (I like 6's, I had a 7 once!!)

But the real question is how far up in the results did they move?

Don't forget that the "visible" PR (i.e. on the Toolbar) lags behind the updates, so don't expect to see SERPs changes as a result of it.. those changes have already happened.

I did notice some off stuff. Some sites with long-time penalties seem to have recovered, stuff has gone up and down all over. However, bear in mind that the visible PR also tends to do a little dance too.

    He He

Back to pre-Florida. Plus some increases for interior pages.

While the results are still fluctuating in and out, when I do get to see the page rank, on a *couple* of our sites I'm noticing that the same page rank is being applied to all of the pages on that domain.

I don't think that the update is finished but if it has and all that is left is to roll it out to the other datacenters then I wondering whether or not this may be a huge change in the way that the page rank is calculated.

If it isn't a huge change then this certainly doesn't match my expectations of applying page rank and it looks like I'm gonna have to re-read a bajillion postings.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    I'm seeing:

    pr 5 - index.html
    pr 5 - /directory_name/index.html
    pr 5 - /directory_name/directory_name/index.html

What I *should* be seeing is something like:

    pr 5 - index.html
    pr 4 - /directory_name/index.html
    pr 3 - /directory_name/directory_name/index.html

Looks like all my links and PR's have been updated. It's all on the up and up! Also, I've noticed Google is indexing *much* quicker lately. I'm seeing modifications I made 36 hours ago show up in the SERPs. The crawl to index phase has been improved quite a bit this week.

Yes I'm seeing higher PR on every site. You would think this would help the latest Google fiasco

    Something different, sure enough.

Interior pages with a previous 0 pr now have pr3. These pages are new (one week or less) and have no backlinks at all.

I'm beginning to believe that the linking plans lots of folks have promoted are a thing of the past.

Links in from good sites (with relevant content) will always be worthwhile for the potential traffic they represent.

I don't see recip links (just for links) doing any good at all.

seems like something is going on. traffic is increasing checking my weblogs, seems like I have several new listings, and programs who I never could convert into clicks is now getting clicks. Does anyone else see this. New pages are getting a PR quickly?

For sure. According to my logs there hasn't been a visit from the googlebot for close to ten hours on our sites. According to my notebook, the last two times this happened there was a major 'shift' in the results. Let's see if that is a pattern.

This is like a soap opera this week. Stay tuned for the next event.
