Has anybody else noticed the AskJeeves/Teoma Bot on their site more often than usual? Last month and this month both, I've had them on my site, crawling hundreds of pages each time they visit. Does anybody know what it takes to get any traffic from them?

What it takes is for people to use the engine.
I have great listings over there, but no traffic.

You're probably right. I know I never use it for anything. Just checked my logs and I've had only 2 referrals from them all month. Doesn't inspire much confidence.

I believe their total percentage of search engine queries is something in the range of 3 to 5%, and that's roughly the percentage of visitors we get from them.

The spider is generally polite so we leave it alone and it rarely leaves our sites.

Other than being aware that the spider is there and we rank extremly well in both Teoma and AskJeeves, we don't do much more than that.

    Let them crawl.
A pity, however, that they are not able to send much traffic, even if you are listed on the top for highly searched terms.
