Teoma: Anyone looked at this search engine lately. If you optimize your pages I bet you have great results over here. On the right of the page they put search suggestions for people who don't know how to search.
Instead of complaining about Google why not put a Teoma search button on your site? Let people know this engine exists. I think it could be the next Google. It updates faster than MSN and Yahoo.

    Hi, Jane,

I have Eniro, Google and Teoma links on my web
site on every main page under "Best Search Engines!!"

Your right, Teoma is possibly the next Google.

I first ran across it years ago as DirectHit
and was impressed how well it looked up computer hardware info. Sometime after, DirectHit's home page defaulted to Teoma.
I don't know the corporate details.

    Hi, Jane,

Oh, MSN updates? Really? I didn't know that!

At least I am in Teoma, Google and Yahoo while MSN hasn't even indexed my home page despite numerous visits by the MSN spider.

Do you think the proplem with my site is
the fact that I promote an alternative
operating system to Windows, i.e., OS/2 Warp?

They were talked about a year or so ago as someone who could compete with the majors. Search Engine Watch put them right up with Google, Yahoo, and MSN in terms of relevance and gave them an A.

It is a very nice and relevant search, i was kinda hoping they would have taken off too.

    Hey guys,

Did you pay to have your sites listed or were they just spidered?

My oldest site is in there but none of my new ones.

Should I pay to be inlcuded or just wait to get spidered?

Do you get any traffic from them?

    Thanks,

    Spider Man

They were just spidered, so i would just wait. Don't pay because no one uses them to search.

No one uses them to search.. That is my point, nobody uses them because they don't know about it. Affiliates know how to promote stuff. Why are we not all promoting and engine that treats us nice? Better to just sit and wait and see what Mr. Bill does? Let's help out the little guy. Affiliates can make a difference. Go put up a link!
