    Folks,

Is it true that Google penalize cross-linking between sites with same IP address or sites reside on same hosting provider?.

    Thx

No. Well, not exactly. If Google are investigating a network of sites, one of the things they will look at is whether many, some or all the sites are on the same IP or use the same web host. They can use this information to penalize domains.

There doesn't seem to be any default filter/penalization that AUTOMATICALLY penalizes sites on the same IP or host, however.

    I'll second that.

Although I have started moving sites to different servers for various reasons, I did have around 30 sites on a single server, all crosslinked and most of them rapidly moved to PR3 and PR4 with only one external link to one site starting the ball rolling.
