Hmmmm, I just received a big sale from Kmart. Only my second sale since they joined CJ. With them only paying 3% and a one day cookie, I didn't advertise them too much until yesterday. Anyways the sale was for $2399.00 and the commission is $71.97. They clicked on the toy banner. My bet is that it will be reversed because of stolen credit card. What do ya all think. No victory dance going on here.

    Packy,

Does Kmart have an item that costs $2399.00? I doubt it !

    Haiko,

You think people just buy one thing at a time online? I don't think you can think before you post anymore.

    mr nobody,

    Welcome Lex

Your correct .. Someone could click on a banner and buy $2399.00 worth of items at Kmart ... I should have thought about the impossible factor ... sorry I'll take that into consideration next time I post, and I thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Okay lets be realistic. Would the average person actually go INTO a Kmart store and spend over $2500 -- Let alone spend that online. I'd be skeptical and not count my eggs before they hatch. It's my guess that sale will be reversed. Unless someone did all their Christmas shopping a kmart. Now that's a possibility. LOL!!!

I don't blame you for holding off on the happy dance. I just can't see why people would buy from K-mart and Wal-Mart online. I'm sure there are a very few that make legitimate purchases, but their S&H is way out of proportion for most items. considering how many B&M's these guys have, it doesn't make sense.

The only reasons I can think of to buy online from K-Mart or WalMart instead of at a nearby store are:

The person is incapacitated and unable to drive a few blocks to WalMart.

They were approved online for credit and didn't want to wait for the card to come in the mail.

Last - They don't have the time to run around town comparing prices and getting a good deal.

I'm sure there are many more reasons people would shop these stores online (although I wouldn't unless I were physically unable to go)

I think you will be waiting quite a while to do a happy dance. But if it doesn't get reversed then I say Get Jiggy Wit It!

Out of fairness to Lexy ... I asked my fiancĂŠe to go to Kmart and try to buy $2,399.-- worth of items ... she only came up to about $1,000.--

So unless the person was was going to buy a wide screen TV and a combination of sports equipment ... I'd say no way.

Yeah, I had someone drop over 1,000$ on a merchant with a 12% commish rate. Of course, the reversal came so quickly I got whiplash.

Lol to whiplash WebMistress. At least the quik reversals I don't mind. Some within an hour or 2 after the sale. The reversals that kill me are the ones that come OH SO CLOSE to making the locked and then poof their gone never to be found again. Grrr!

Haiko, I was thinking maybe large screen stuff or home entertainment stuff. Maybe Play Station 2's for all the grandkids, lol. BTW give me $2399.00 to spend at Kmart, I won't come home with a penny trust me.

Mike- I actually did quite a bit of shopping online at Walmart last X-Mas. I can't remember but I don't think the shipping was all that bad. Most of the stores have some good deals. I am the type who hates shopping with a passion.

Well, I could do it with ease. With back to school, Scout camps, and Christams coming up in a household with six kids it's no work to run up that kind of money.

Mind you -- not something I'm bound to do online.

I do, however, buy online when I've adopted a family for Christmas. Much easier than paying shipping -- I just order it and get it sent to their place.

Maybe its an organization that is buying for poor families or the homeless? Or a church buying for one of its organizations? I'd wait and see.

(and where are you guys getting the other happy faces?)
