I liked clickbank until just recently. Seems like they turned off the "tracking switch" over there. All of the sudden no sales were showing up, I made a purchase through one of my links and OfCourse, the transaction Did NOT show up!

Let me know if/when they decide to actually start tracking sales again. I'd like to promote of a few of their merchants, but they need to fix their tracking first.

    Commission King,

I have been using Clickbank for a couple of years
now with much success. I, too, have been very
disappointed with them lately. I am thinking I
will need to find other sources of revenue soon.
Their 'enhancements' they have made lately seem
to be getting me fewer sales. Now if someone
clicks on someone's hoplink that hoplink will be
locked into their computer. So if this site
does not do a good job of selling the product,
and you visit a second site later selling the
same product, and they do a better job of
promoting it, and you decide to buy from this
second site, the first site gets the commission
anyway. This is supposed the correct the problem
of link theft, which I think was blown way out of
proportion. I cannot keep spending good money
promoting programs with them if someone else is
going to get the commission. I think the problem
is worse now than it was before these
    'enhancements'.

There is something wrong here. I was getting 2 to 3 affiliate sales a day consistantly ( weekends included). Now nothing for the past 48 hours. Also there have been other lapses of inactivity latley over the the past month. Haiko, have you invited Clickbank to participate here?

That may explain why I'm seeing a drop off in sales. So are we supposed to just try and set cookies now and let someone else try and sell the products?

There is also a topic on this subject at the
Internet Success Forum. Here is the link:

I have gone to the bother of creating my own
member site instead of selling someone else's
product. I was not seeing any sales yesterday,
I switched my pages over to my own member site
later yesterday, have seen six sales since the
    switchover.

That all sound very scary, but it would explain a lot. I hope someone of Clickbank will come over to ABW and update us on these issues.

I find it very interesting also ... my sales suddenly dropped 90% a few weeks ago. In the last week however, they have recovered back to similar levels ... curious

I thought things were getting a little slow. I chalked it up to the economy. Guess not, or both.

I wonder if Clickbank may be reversing their
changes they have made lately. I have found
out that we can now link directly to the
order form again as long as we have the
merchants approval. My sales increased quite
a bit when they started this linking method,
but they they stopped supporting it back in
the end of August. This is one of the biggest
problems with Clickbank, they make changes quite
often and do not let anyone know about them. They
could at least have a page on their site
somewhere listing the changes they are making.
