    Dear KingGuffster,
I wanted to inform you of a potential problem you may have experienced. Some of you may have seen a drop in the commissions that were reported since 11/26 for xxxxx. Commission Junction have registered a reporting problem for several advertisers and publishers - not a tracking problem - that could have caused you to see a drop in sales from this period.

Commission Junction are currently working on a fix and we understand that a message will be sent to those of you affected today, and transactions will be registered back in your account by Thursday at the latest.

    Kind regards,

    xxxxxxx Affiliate Manager

I contacted CJ about a seperate problem that I noticed and was told about this. They were pretty vauge as to what the exact problem was but assured me that affected advertisers and publishers will receieve emails regarding this.

There are an incredible amount of affiliates and merchants affected both in the UK and US, but CJ are reluctant to make a public statement as part of a damage limitation exercise to prevent maximum fallout.

A few merchants we know are even expressing changing networks.

As much as I'd like to say something about this I'm going to take every bit of restraint I have to avoid a comment here (Todd, you can thank me later).

I don't understand what they are talking about

If publishers that were affected had "pending" applications, how the heck could they have had links up and be missing sales reports before even being approved ?

Are they talking about those "pending offers" expiring ?

It's encouraging CJ have now had the courtesy to make an open statement.

Openness, like this acknowledgement, wins friends, and gives the reassurance that it will be sorted.

    My email went like this:
    quote:

You are receiving this email because you may have seen a drop in your commissions reported since November 26. Commission Junction has identified the cause as a programming error that resulted in some publishers' pending relationships with advertisers being expired. As a result, some of your transactions from those advertiser relationships have not been reported to your Account Manager although they have been tracked by our network.

By the end of today, December 2 (PST), Commission Junction will have finished restoring any affected affiliations and will begin the process of correcting the reports to properly reflect the transactions generated during this time. We expect this process will be completed by Thursday, December 5. After the reports have been corrected, we will be making appropriate adjustments so that any performance incentive bonuses you are entitled to are not affected by this situation.

BTW: In my calendar, December 5th. is on friday. Wonder what calendar CJ uses?
Haven't seen much in terms of extra transactions either...

EssentialApparel.com but I think they're doing it by merchant in stages.

I hope that is the case, I was expecting a bunch of batched sales to appear early this week, the merchant page shows the sales were reported but I didn't see 1 come through when I should have had at least a dozen, luckily I got CJ's email so there might still be hope.
