Is it possible for a merchant to credit an affiliate with another affiliates sale prior to that sale being reported on CJ. For example if affiliate A makes a sale can the merchant credit affiliate B with this sale before its reported to CJ.

The one's with real-time reporting would not have the ability to mess around with that (speaking from experience).

I don't know as much about the batch reporting method, but don't think they have the ability to do it either.

Batch would be able to credit to whoever they want, although I'm not sure why a merchant would want to credit a different affiliate.

Real-time would be impossible to change, because all of the tracking is done on CJ's end. The click goes through CJ where they set a cookie, then the sale gets reported back to CJ with an IMG tag. CJ determines who gets credit based on the cookie.

There are quiet a few programs on CJ where the merchant is also an affiliate. I don't know if they would/do credit themselves with other affiliates sales but I would like to know if it is possible. Thank you all for your replies.

When I manually credit sales for phone sales it just asks for a pid number, sales amount, order id, and date. So yes, it is possible for a merchant to enter there own pid number instead of the affiliates if they wanted to.

That could explain why some merchants have a high EPC, even though their affiliates don't seem to sell anything for them...makes you wonder...
