I wanted to know if there is a site that has a listing and perhaps even reviews or rankings of basically all possible affiliate programs. To help find the more obscure smaller programs. Any help would be appreciated... I need outta my dead beat job... HAHA...

Disgruntled, such a list would be almost impossible to compile and maintain. To find programs use goggle (or another) search engine. Type in the product category you are looking for and the word "affiliate". This will usually bring a bunch of sites offering affiliate programs to the results.

You really have to do a bit of research but usually you can find what you want.

Mr.Merchant, if you do business in any way what-so-ever with parasites, your products will not be sold on my sites!!

Thanks... I guess I was wondering if there was a site that would sorta be like a yahoo for affiliates. Would be a good idea. Well I guess I'll keep doing it the google way. But it would be nice if programs were easier to find. Thanks again tho...

http://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/ has a list of those who use their affiliate software. Its on their site somewhere I forget, you'll have to look around to find it.

When they ever get around to it fixing it/updating it should be a good list of indy using the MYAP software.

http://www.bizrate.com is nice for finding indy's. They have merchants with and without affiliate programs listed. Some network ones, some indy ones. Might take a little digging but good thing is they usually have consumer ratings, good for weeding out the bad merchants.

    Then the google way:
    affiliate "what you're looking for"

I should make my own site listing all the indy's. I have hundreds, some i've tried some i plan on trying out.

That would be a great list.. There are a lot of sites that have lists of programs, however, I haven't found one yet that seems half way current.

Many of the 5 Star progams are Indies and many are new. All have full reviews. Enjoy!

Hmm. there is a great domain name available. Very brandable, i might go ahead and start such a site. I know when i started i looked for sites that had lists like that and most of them really sucked, weren't up to date or had the same merchants every one else had.

I wish there was a place that actually gave useful information about the indies like ... has anyone gotten a check from them ... is their tracking software considered reliable ... how long has the program been around ... etc.

I've been seeking out, testing, and building relationships with indies much more aggressively since last spring. In some of the cases, I'm probably just wasting my time, and making the same mistake that a bunch of other people did before me. Most of the time, it's just really darn hard to get a feel for them.

That's the problem with indies, testing them out. Maybe we should have a private forum here or something, some kind of "sharing environment" I would be more than happy to share indys i've had success with if others would do the same, help each other out and save a lot of frustration testing out dud merchants.

    Was looking at:
    http://www.tribalectic.com/

Seems like a possibility as far as pierced jewelry. They have a great selection it looks like.

Beware the picture gallery. Trust me on this. Ouch.

I'd be interested in a site like this as well to possibly review our affiliate program and learn more about other affiliate programs and what appeals most to affiliates. We're just beginning to promote our newest program and interested in some input as well as info...

I hope maybe someone could post a good link they trust for affiliate program reviews.
