Joey,,

Hostpro ... now Interland.

Interland is very good ... but Hostpro was GREAT!!!! Same people in support for my servers so I can deal! I sent tech support people Christmas presents and I pay over $300 a mo ... so ... I guess I can, and do, demand (LOL) immediate service ... and can say I have never had a problem that lasted for more than 30 mins.

They also have plans from like $15 a mo

Haiko,

Does Interland allow you to host multiple sites from the same account?

Right now I'm happy with HostRocket but they'll only let me host one site per account.

BTW - What do you give a hosting provider for Christmas

Gold,
Good to see ya here!

Try doing a search on FreeWebSpace.net. You'll probably find what you're looking for there.

Eclipsehosting and Westhost

Both are great value - haven't had to try eclipsehosting's support but westhost are very quick in their support and extremely friendly and helpful.

I use Web 2010. I started out with them a long time ago and they were really nice to help me on the phone with absolutly stupid stuff-lol.

I can always reach someone when I need help and I think their service is great. I pay $20 month and have lots of bells and whistles I have no idea how to use-lol.

We use Cedant.com for all of our sites. We tried dozens of hosts before we found them. They are 100% perfect in every way. Excellent speed, features, cost, customer service... everything!

It's pretty weird because once we found them, we found out that they are basically local to us (they are in Davis, we are in Gold River... both suburbs of Sacramento). I've never visited, but probably will one of these days.

All my domains are hosted in hostmatters.com

I love them, very good service, good prices and they are very nice people.

I use hosternet.co.uk :-

Annual Charge $49.80
150 Mbs Web Space
1500 Mbs Data Transfer per Month
25 POP3 Email Boxes
SSL - Secure Server Access
MySQL Databases (no limit)

They run an affiliate program too but I don't know anything about it.

The 1500Mb data transfer per month would probably be the main problem for people here. He also says he only accepts people from the UK - though I don't think he's particular about that.

There is something a little odd about the cgi-bin and I had to get an expert to install some tecchie things, but other than that I have had no problems with it. Tech support always happens within a few days. For that price I'm surprised I get any at all

When I went over my previous bandwith limit I couldn't find a working credit card for a week but he left the site there till I upgraded.

For other just starting sites I use bizhosting which is free and very good.

The latest one on my list is Rackshack for their Dedicated Servers..

$99 a month
300Gig Transfer
20Gig HD
Throw on whatever you want.. you can fit a lot of domains on one of these..

Haven't had any probs to date (2 months).. don't know about support as I've never used it..

Speedsoft.com Been with them since about 96 and they've been down only once. I like that they're smaller -- I can call Greg with questions and he called me that one down time to warn me.

My dedicated server is at hosting.com (former adgrafix, former virtualis), physical location Los Angeles.

Not the cheapest, but they have excellent customer service. They even call me back in Austria, where I'm living.

HTH,
