I'd go cheap... those trademark violation suits can get quite pricey and you wouldn't want to stiff the buyer twice.

    Hello IG,

Under the current legal environment that url is worthless. NY Times owns the right to "call it in" at any time they please. The current owner would have no choice but to surrender ownership upon request.

    Incorrect.

If the owner of the domain was using it in a way that was not an infringement on anyone's TM, they are within their rights to keep the domain.

Drewbert is correct. If you are not diluting their trademark than they have no rights over it. Which makes it pretty much worthless.

Well, except that trying to get good ranking on google under keywords related to NYT's is a trademark infringement because you would be using their name for your gain.

No matter what you do with this domain, it isn't worth the 9 dollars you paid for it.

You'd be best tossing it aside for the expired domains pile and call it a lesson learned.

You could use the domain for other purposes though. Like if you could think of something else ti could stand for. Just steer clear of the NYT's.

    Maybe a Times Square webcam?

Or is it Times Square because the NY Times building is there?
