I need a suggestion on a host where you have the ability to upgrade to more bandwidth as the site grows (ever hopeful)
Also if my partner and I are in different states, how can we both check emails? Is there a host that provides email access on their site?

I highly recommend my host AffordableHost. I found them because someone recommended them on the old CJ board. I have several domains hosted there now. It's easy to upgrade your bandwidth or server space when needed, they have web based or POP email, their prices are good, their service is great, and there's lots of techie bells and whistles available if you know how to use them. If I've ever had a problem it has always been resolved quickly and courteously. There are real humans behind the Help Desk link!

Check it out at AffordableHost - note that's my affiliate link - if you want a plain link click here.

    Happy Easter,

Well let's see, somebody offered a 50% off special to abestweb members.

    Also regarding email

As long as your host has a mail server (most do) you should be able to set up pop email accounts with your own passwords. You then set up your email program to use that email address.

Most hosting companies also support browser based email too.

I resell from a company called OC12Host and they have a special going on here for only 3.99 a month(Price/month Available Yearly Only)All their packages can be upgraded with ease. You can look at their control panel that includes web mail which would solve the problem you mentioned.

I can't beat their prices but I do install PHPNuke for free.

At the risk of piling on....

We start out at $57/year. Upgrades are easy and we also offer a control panel, web-based email (as well as pop/smtp) and web-based site uploading and editing (As well as ftp). Never a setup fee. We even will register your domain for free for Pearl and above accounts. Our accounts to server ratio is under 50 to 1. (We don't believe in overloading our servers.)
http://opt2.net/plans.shtml will get you there directly. And we are rated 3.96 (out of a perfect 4.00) on host search by our users.

thanks for looking. thanks for letting me post.
