I use GoDaddy.com as well. Very competitive pricing and since I live less than 2 miles away from them I can always pay a personal visit if I have any problems. However I have not had problem one thus I would recommend them.

I use Namecheap ($8.88) and TotalRegistrations (which does .com etc, all the .uk variants, .us, .it, .fm and .tv).

If you're trading domains you want a registrar that can transfer the domain from account to account for free. Web forwarding is also useful, so I'd recommend Namecheap for those.

With my new Domain Name Registration Directory, web masters are getting access for the first time to a searchable database dedicated to domain name registration. I still need domain name registrars to get a free account to post their info, so please e-mail your favorite registrars about the site -- for the benefit of web masters everywhere. Or, send me the URL's of the registrars, and I will add them into the database by hand. I believe that anyone who operates a webpage-related resource will want to keep an eye on this one as a good place to link. But if you could place a link while the database is still in the early stages of growth, you would help it along, and web masters will sooner have the ultimate tool for domain name registrar comparison!
