Yeah yeah, I know. Go to Php and MySQL. Fact is I have several sites and they are all hosted by a company with a pretty good plan all of which are done in Asp.
The current plan contains the following:
500MB Web Space
Free New Domain Registration
Unmetered Data Transfer
Unlimited Email
Unlimited Email Aliases
Unlimited Access DSN's
Unlimited DSNless connections
SQL server 2000 (costs $25 extra per year)
For $99 bucks a year.
Great plan, but the donwtime is too much.
I woke up this morning and I had 3 sites that were getting Gateway Timeouts.
I phone tech support and get a "It's down for maintenance spiel and it will be back up in 4 hours"
If I have a problem with that, heres an email. Drop them a line.

I'm not rich so I can't afford the couple of semi decent hosts I have been able to find and their $39.95 a month rates, much as I'd like to.

Anyone have any ideas?
thanks

Game on!!!!

I use 123hostnow.com for my ASP sites.

Pretty affordable for ASP sites an if you choose the right plan for your traffic you'll get least amount of downtime. I've been pretty happy with them.

Their servers are in UK, may be a negative side, and also they don't offer phone support but reply to e-mails pretty fast.

Try Alentus.com
Excellent tech support, excellent uptime, great prices for what you get, all kinds of ASP components, etc.

I've had many hosting companies throughout the years, and Alentus is the best by far.

I am not affiliated with them, just a very happy customer.

Popdawg - I've had sites at GearHost for a while. Seem like good plans and people.

I'm migrating away because I keep hitting problems with Windows hosting - but that's a discussion for another day

I guess companies that charge low rates can't afford the support needed to keep servers running. It sure gets old moving sites all the time too...
