If you have domains you don't want to renew make sure you cancel them, even with auto renew turned off they decided to help their selfs to my credit card.

    Very expensive lesson.

Other wise their service is Great.

Even now, when you are just about to finalize the transaction, they have "recurring" set even if you deliberately chose for it not to be so.

Hit the "back" button and change it back again; it may take several attempts.

Can you not fix it, or dispute it?

Do a charge back. We get them all the time from people who "forgot" to switch off auto-renew you get your money back and the merchant gets hit with a $20-$30 bank charge.

Or if you're feeling nice, call and give them a chance to reverse the transaction.

    They would not answer e-mails.
My credit card company said to bad, because it is a contract. So I had to have my credit card cancelled, just wish I would have caught this sooner, $900.00 worth of domains that I don't have time for.

    O'well.

Any other domain services with godaddy prices out there.

It shouldn't be a contract if they have an auto-renew option and you turned it off.

A contact I have at Go Daddy is "Tim Ruiz" <tim@godaddy.com>, try emailing him to see if he can put you in touch with their finance people.

    Mark Thanks,
I will just go with what is done is done.
    It's not worth the hassel.

I really thought my credit card company would have worked with me on this, but hey they lost me as a customer also.

    WOW!
Go Daddy just tried to automatically register 28 domain names that i DID NOT want them to renew and I set them to manual renewel.

I think at this point they are not going to charge my credit card but I am still not 100%. I will believe it when I see it.I just wanted to let you guys know.

Check your credit card balance by phone, keep an eye on it. If you don't want those Domains Renewed cancel them.

I am really upset by this business practice. In my opinion, it is underhanded and unacceptable. Can anyone suggest a replacement for Godaddy?

I have used them and Stargate up until now. Just found out Stargate raised their registration price from 7.95 to $14.00 so I'm looking for a different registra.

Join the ga@dnso.org mailing list and COMPLAIN THERE.

You could also complain to ICANN, but that's about as effective as something that has zero effect.

They only listen to people with fat wallets.

Also, document it and see if you can get it posted at icannwatch.org

Don't you get guys about 5 emails warning they are going to auto-renew the name? I do.
