    Has anyone used their hosting, if so, what is/are your experience(s)?

    I haven't used them but, I have a few customers with them and haven't heard any complaints.

    they have some downtime, I wouldn't recommend them... unless you are going to use over 500meg of space... then their 1gig plan starts to look like a good deal... jumpline do a 1gig of space for $30/mo, Apollo for $60/mo.. globat give you 1gig for $7.50/mo - wow!!

    Since I am another host, I will try to be as unbiased as possible here. Research the SPAM factor a little before you decide to sign up with them.

    Well I tried to use them. Signed up with them Sun morning. Contacted them by online chat yesterday to see why I had not received account info. It's in billing is all they tell me. Sent them an email later that afternoon and got no response. Just called and it seems the billing dept is in a meeting, someone will call me back.
    Their commission did show up at CJ very quickly so I know the info went through.

    Well as expected their billing dept did not call me back. They did charge my credit card on the 26th and I have received NO email of any kind from them. I used their online form to cancel my account, but of course have received no reply from that either. Time to call the credit card company.

    Well I called them again today and again they did not call me back. I did find the setup information in my trash can though. So I have to take back my complaint about that. Seems I received spam from their address some time ago and had them filtered straight to the trash can.

    Globat Sucks
    Do not signup with globat. They have horrid billing practices.

    I was billed on Feb 2006 for two-year hosting. Seven months later, they billed me again for another two years!

    I've emailed them, no reply. I've called the billing department, and they agreed to refund. They never did. Instead, I got an email giving generic explanation as to why they billed me again. This happened after I've sorted things out on the phone with the billing dept.

    Globat is basically stealing from people's credit card, hoping they won't check their statements. I'm now going to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

    As for hosting, they're down constantly.
    Their email sometimes stays down for 12 hours.

    Also, if they offer any mail-in rebates, it's a scam. They won't honor it.

    Do not signup with them if you plan to run any serious website.

    I really have to agree with fw12. They keep charging my credit card and paypal account after I've cancelled my account with them. they will not give refunds, even when they are wrong.

    I called my credit card company and had the bogus charge refunded.
    I also cancelled my credit card to prevent globat from making a new charge.
    A new card was mailed to me in 5 days.
