    Hello,

I will soon be launching some smaller, niche sites - really more hobby sites (with a few affiliate links thrown in for good measure, of course) than anything else. These sites won't generate much in the way of sales or probably even traffic - really doing this for fun as well as some PR purposes for my other main sites.

Can anyone recommend a web host that provides reliable hosting that allows multiple full domains on one plan (up to 5 or so). I checked out TH Media (always recommended here), and it only allowed one domain name per account.

    Any suggestions?

    Jim

I used maintained 5 accounts with 1 sign in, they are great people to work with. You may need to speak with Carmen for the customization.

The used to have a reseller program not sure if they still do that or not.

    250 Megs of Webspace
    10 Gigs of Traffic
    100 POP email accounts
    100 auto-responders
    10 mailing lists
your own CGI-BIN (filled with pre-installed scripts)
    website stats
    online control panel
    much, much, more ...

Add unlimimited doamians only $5.00/a month

Had to find there stuff, good people!

I've got a multi domain package, but I wouldn't send my worst enemy to my hosting company. I’ve been looking at httpme. I’ve heard good things about them, but I haven’t made the move yet.

    Thanks for the information.

Httpme.com seems like an intriguing option. So does wtiwebhosting.com.

What webhost do you currently use Newcastle that you hate so much? Want to make sure I don't end up using them by accident!

For what it's worth, I use Bluegenesis. I have referred many clients there already. Yes, I get a commission if you choose to use my account manager to sign up and pass him my name. They have a referring program but it's all manual. I have their 20 Virtual Managed Server package for $129 / month.

    http://www.bluegenesis.com/

    The 10 VMS package:

    $69
    10 Domains
    500 Megs
    125 mailboxes
    30 GB monthly transfer limit
MySQL, ASP, PHP, CGI and a bunch of other goodies.
For $154 more per month, you can get ColdFUsion and ASP.net.

They have a very good Website OS to manage all domains. In fact, they use the same website OS during tech support sessions when their clients call. You get to use the same one! It's quite good I must admit. I think our local telephone company leased it to use for their web hosting for Western Canada. The guys who started this company also started a big Canadian ISP called Internet Direct. During the recent eastern seaboard blackout, I got an email from them the day after indicating that effected servers were routed to another area that was still online and others were being powered by 2 diesel generators! As a result, we saw virtually no down time for our websites.

Again, full disclosure. I don't work for them but I am one of their referring partners. If you choose them, I would appreciate a PM so I can email you my account manager's name. This is the only way I get credit.

Also, let me know if there are other similar packages out there. I would like to know for future references.

My issue is storage, not bandwidth - 500 Megs doesn't cut it.

Is there a specific reason why someone is not allowed to place a topic here? Do we have to follow some guideline, if so please send the URL so I can read it. Do not want to get posting wrong.

The guideline is to keep threads of a certain topic categorized in the correct forum.

    Hey Fred,

The 500 meg package costs $69.99 per month.

They also have a 5 Gig pakcage at $489.99 / month. Check out details at: http://www.bluegenesis.com/

Or the other alternative is to manage your own server and park it somewhere.

    Good luck.

FWIW, httpme is the only outfit I have come across so far that has real, live people awake and on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Check out this forum. Also, look under reseller section for best deals.

If you compare the rates, HTTPme blows everyone away (3Gig Space- 30 Gig Bandwidth $45.). If you have need for lots of storage, then that's the place to go. Only problem is I can't run my search program there as they do not allow shell accounts, or like people eating CPU's. It's always something.

As for the $489.99/month - that's just a little over my budget (That's $5879.88/yr.) for those of us without the calculator mind).
