...after last nights annoncement I guess I need to start looking for a new host.

Anyone have any good suggestions? I have a dozen domains, most of them use MySQL databases... SSH would be nice.... Price is not crucial if the service is good

    Thanks!!

Tj, sorry to hear about you old hoster. May I ask who you were with and what kind of annocement they made that decided that you need a new host? What kind of reseller package did you have with them? If you need any assistance please email me at support@net-hostings.org hope all is well.

    Thanks,
    Frank

Guys? Don't you think you learned your lesson and will look for more established hosts or at least hosts that are upfront? While I was repeatedly told that making false claims means nothing and presentation is for idiots.

I would be cautious with net-hostings.org - while i know nothing about him, I know this.

He has a pic of a G4 on his front page - are you getting hosted on a mac?
There is no order form or plan breakdown.

Come on. Your business is worth more than this, make a quick choice, but make a smart choice. Check out http://www.httpme.com/ and others. Be smart about it, go on http://www.webhostingtalk.com and look around, ask around. Take a day, not hours to make your choice.

hostings.org is not for me, I'm headed in another direction.

The number of people re-selling is just amazing. But we need reseller packages for a different reason

I'm going to a dedicated server myself. While a dedicated is overkill for my actual internet needs I'll feel better knowing that my servers sure wont be overloaded (LOL) and my sites wont be negatively impacted when problems arise due to me being put somewhere in a list of plan 7 type sites to be fixed on a server.

N-Affiliate, let me guess, they don't list their plans or their pricing or even a way to order, because they just have too much business and want to grow slow - right?

    *COUGH*

How many sites can you fit on that G4?

Hey Chet, I am a fairly new company, I have been doing hosting for the past few years. I am hosting off of a Linux Distro, I wish I was hosting off the Mac's but they would not be to keen on it.

The site is a little confusing and sorry about that. I get mainly word of mouth orders. Here is the breakdown of the packages I offer. http://www.net-hostings.org/compare.html I work with all my clients on a business and friend level. I never leave them high and dry like I have been done to in the past.

If you need anything let me know.

    Thanks,
    Frank

You could always try www.pair.com for multi domain hosting. They've been around years, are reliable and rarely have any problems. They ain't the cheapest, but you pays your money, you takes you choice.

Your proof is a link to a page - whose link doesn't exist on your site - that is encrypted by an incorrect certificate? And on that page, you can order plans not listed anywhere else on your site so no one has any idea the difference between the basic plan and the marketer plan??

    Move over verio and pair!
(pair is actually another very good choice, but i don't know if they offer the plans needed by some here).

If your adept at doing your own server functions then pair.com is a very cheap reliable hosting alternative. Full service and handholding goes to OLM.net

Chez, please read my other posts. I posted that link cuase someone asked for a link for ordering and before that someone asked for a link for packages. All links are on the site and are all hosted on my servers.

    Thanks,
    Frank

Yeah (managed hosting of a *server*), but for 10 sites it's probably overkill for most people.

Although I've never regretted leasing my dedicated server from them even when I had huge amounts of unused space and bandwidth! It's nice to be able to put up a site of any size I want without having to worry about running over a disk space or bandwidth allotment.

As for regular-style shared hosting, nope, not Rackspace...the term they use ("managed hosting") doesn't really give the picture. They host the server, (as opposed to hosting individual sites like a shared hosting place) and the "managed" part comes in if you need something done to it like have patches applied, or certain software configured (they only config. "supported" software), etc.
