Hi, I've been checking the thread to see which hosts people prefer. I noticed that httpme seemed the most popular, but that all of the posts I saw predated the sale.

Can anyone let me know if they've retained that level of service?

Are there other hosts that people recommend for multiple domains? I read recommendations for unitedhosting and lightningservers on previous threads. However, since things can change quite quickly and since these were several months old, I wanted to know if anyone had any updates?

    Thanks, Dave

    Hi,

I've been using newwebsite.com for the last 1 1/2 years or so and have been very happy with them. There are several programs ranging from $29 per month for up to 200 domains to $49 per month for up to 1000 domains.

www.thrillhost.com now owned by Midphase has a good rep and great prices. Unlimited domains starting at 11.95 a month. Right now they have a one month trial for $1.

I just signed up to use hosting for a bunch of domains I plan to build up then sell. So far support has been great but just signed up so can't give you a strong personal testimonial yet.

Midphase and Autica their other company are both pretty highly rated for support and uptime. I would say based on all the positive feedback I have found when doing my research that thrillhost is definately worth checking out and doing the $1 trial.

I'm still on httpme, and things are still running along fine on the websites they host. I haven't needed any support so I can't say anything about how it is lately.

I signed up over 30 days ago with their other site call www.autica.com also good for re-sellers, so far no problems. Live phone support was no problem either.

kualo.com is where I went after the thmedia debacle.

They are competitively priced, specialize in hosting reseller accounts, and have shell access (httpme doesn't).

I have had a number of strange and unique things that needed to be done, and they came through every time, and very quickly.

Can't say enough good things about them.

In the interest of full disclosure I am speaking for my own company.

One thing we have is you can sign up and pay nothing now and try it for 2 weeks. The main purpose for this trial is to try out the control panel. www.newwebsite.com You can try us while you are still looking around for others. If you see something you like better someplace else let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

I was going back through some older post on this topic and found webhost4life.com. Any opions on this company would be great. I have not heard of them before on the board. Seems like they have some really good plans.

    Thank,

2 hosting companies I use and would recommend, httpme.com, rarely a problem and excellent email support. And Ximagerynetwork.com - good support, unlimited domain names for $37.95 per month.

Would be nice if GoDaddy had an affiliate program, since they do have nice domain name/hosting bundles. Those wanting a private labeled resller site can recover the 99.00 pretty quick if they get webmaster traffic. Some folks need ASP features so Windows hosting is necessary or I just point my shoppers at Dotster.

I'd wish I could say the same Linda.
But all I can tell about midphase is what looks
    like a horror movie.

If there were a hosting company (and there may be) that had everything an afilliate would need, what things would they be?

Please don't post adverts for your host, I (and some others here) are interested in seeing what would be great for affiliates (of all sizes). We also know that the question is a little rhetorical.

    Maybe I'll start anew thread?

I have been using 1and1.com for 8 months now and I am pleased with them.

Good stats, great control panel, dns access, email, autoresponders, etc, blah, blah.

    No problems yet...

Been using StartLogic lately. They have live chat and a ticket system for support. Competitive price and all the same features as the others. For me, it comes down to support.
