Well same results from www.igive.com. Sure time to pick on the charity guys too. I believe the culprit is the TopMoxie software used by many of the rewards programs. It's not just Ebay that is doing this.

Does anyone have a complete list of sites that use the Topmoxie plugin technology?

TopMoxie is probably just a front for some CyberTerrorist programmers on the run from the law in Europe or some 3rd World country. They are shuffling this theftwarez to whoever wants it for a upfront cash fee. Anything they do is just patchwork on a app designed to steal commissions by redirects and ID swapping.

I just built out a Golfing section, since GigaGolf dropped eBates. Low and behold Goldballs.com's newly generated links with Moe Money installed on my system generates random affiliuate ID#s on every click. I left a banner of their on my home page for everyone with eBates to test. Can't get it to generate a valid landing page ...strange!!! Neither I, the merchant nor eBates make any money that way. www.ecomcity.com

WTF is TopMoxie/ebates doing with the clicks and ID#s. None are mine!!

    Allen,

I have a list but I have waited for the networks to implement a real position pursuant to the meeting on the 7th. Things are being worked on and negotiated behind the scences to make sure aff links will not be overwritten by as many parasites as possible and as soon as possible.

Mike - I'm unable to stay quiet on this.

There's a consistent xenophobic theme that runs through your posts at ABW that I for one find irritating and offensive.

We all operate in a medium that is substantially sans frontiers and should bear in mind that the community here is multinational, multiracial, multidenominational and probably several other multi-things as well.

We have common enemies that cannot be defined in those terms, so let's focus on the real problems rather than blunderbussing about.

Your wrong in your liberal interpretation of what damage these programmers can do to our industry and the general web surfing public. Who are they and for what purpose did these guys in the Netherlands -eastern European Block countries and places like Pakistian have for designing theftwarez/adware/spyware programs. They wanted to initially make quick untraceable cash for monitizing the P2P networks with their BHO apps. Who would care as those networks were all setup to promote the stealing of copywrite materials and sharing porn files.

The GREED mongers within the affiliate and spamming industry saw where these apps fitted into their own needs. They allowed them to hijack traffic & monitize thru commissions all links leading to a merchants site. No longer were these characters chained to their own domains.

So Mr informed CrazyGuy can you provide anyone here with the names, contact information of any original programmers who wrote any BHO parasite program?? Can the law authorities here and abroad find the perps who wrote some of the spyware and call home features added into these programs that siphoned off millions of credit card numbers and privicy information for the Darkside forces willing to pay for the same. Why is every worldwide CyberCrime unit monitoring the parasitewarez/spywarez programs to get to both the programmers and their hidden adjenda cash paying clients.

Why do the main perps have offshore small country setups like Sherman Industries to weave the CyberTerrorism and exploit the thievery capabilities of the hidden payload of KaZZaa. Do you think some computer illiterate wrote the driveby install routine for Gator or the computer e-mail virus for the GreetingCard Companies operating out of the caribbian.

Do you think Paul Nichols has the ability to call or meet with the programmers who wrote the original TopMoxie application to undo some of it's evils. He'd have to go through the same arrangements and danger as a CNN reporter seeking a personal interview with Bin Laden.

Paranoid and Xenophopic my butt. The criminal mind is paying these guys to code these apps and are unwilling like virus writers or Jewel thief fences to expose themselves. Now go search Google to find information on who originally wrote the applications, which are causing ABWers and the web surfers & shoppers such grief. It sure wasn't an employee of eBates -Morpheus -TopText or TopMoxie. I hope, whoever they are, that they have AIDS -terminal cancer and a faulty short in their suicide belt as they sit down to Thanksgiving dinner.

Mike does not always put up the most politically correct posts on ABW, but why try to stifle him? The more colorful posts, and the more thinking outside the norm, the better.

    Excellent work Mike

An opportunity to apologize to the people you offend with your sweeping prejudice is ever so nimbly body-swerved in favor of an even more irrational rant.

Jimbo - "colorful" is too frequently used as a euphemism for all kinds of unacceptable behaviour. Regulars at ABW may tune out a lot of the noise, but turning a blind eye/deaf ear to any kind of "-ism" associates us with it.

I socialise with many "colorful" people, but I wouldn't stand by in their company while they spouted ill-founded racist vitriol. This stuff contributes absolutely nothing to the purpose of ABW or the businesses of the affiliates and merchants who spend time here. That doesn't make it unique here, but it lacks the compensating humour and entertainment value of the threads we choose to waste our time in.

I don't aim to make this a mission, but I've started and deleted half a dozen emails on the subject over recent weeks and finally couldn't stay shut up any more.

    Mike,

Are you a member of an anti-American militia in Michigan? I too find some of your "colorful" posts ridiculous and they resonate louder than your intelligent thought. I suggest you think a bit about the feelings of others before clicking the "Post Now" button.

    Neil and CrazyGuy,

I have to stand up for Mr. Mike on this one.

I'm sure that you understand he has a right to post his beliefs just as you do.

Sure it is obvious that Mike has a strong opionion on the parasites but if you look, you'll see that Mike has as many posts as anybody on this board which indicates the length of time he has been involved in learning and contributing here.

Is it possible that over his years of learning he has become familiar with not only there diversion tactics but their slezzy methods to install and the difficulties in uninstalling them as well describing how they set up their corporations to avoid penalty that he is actually describing them accurately?

I enjoy his posts as much as anyones here and have learned much from them. You da man Mike!

LOL. I think any phenothiazine or thioxanthene derivative would be a great addition to the milieu since it treats active psychosis. Then again it might react with his favorite Scotch (read warm Stroh's on the rocks).

I don't think it would do anything for his golf game either.

so is there a pulicly available list of topmoxie users? I know of several programs that want to get their hands on that list. One merchant at a time is better than waiting for nothing to happen.
