Now they're ending the residual commissions they promised people for referrals.

Just turning them off, thats it.

So they promised you lifetime commissions, and then they just decide to stop paying them.

Another ripoff brought to you by the folks at ebates...

Do you mean you were an affiliate of Ebates and now they won't pay you?

Lets see you help promote a company that overwrites links to hijack commissions and then you question their integrety after the fact because they don't pay.
Think maybe you should have checked their integrety first.
Sorry to hear of your losses but why promote a parasite in the first place? You can find many more paying non parasitic programs just from ABW merchant members alone.

    Careful, boys.

He didn't SAY he was promoting eBates. He might just be passing on GOOD news he heard elsewhere.

In addition to their affiliate program, they used to pay anyone who referred their buddies a small percentage of their rebates, IIRC.

Pimping parasitic "incent" Popups must not be the best retirement plan. Wonder when the reward/points sites and Fake Charity BHO's announce they can't afford to payout this year. But will carry over the balances to next year.

not suprised they use bho apps and of course they don't have a solid business plan :0) meaning specific point which I'm not going to get into cause I would rather have them go bankrupt this cheat us... out of our commissions.

That's what we're talking about. We're not even talking the affiliate program.

They promised lifetime commissions, and they just started refusing to pay 'em.

Why would any affiliate promote someone who'd steal their commissions?

For those of you affiliate promoting ebates, I've got a better deal for you.

Give me $10 and I'll give you $7 back.

    That's a commission rate of 70%!

Parasites are thieves. What are you going to do about it?

Sorry, I don't have much empathy for anyone who promotes Ebates. They live on the hard work of others. Do you really expect them to live up to their end of the deal?

That's like leaving the combination to the safe with a bank robber for safe keeping while the guards all go have dinner.

You should have never promoted them in the first place. Take their links down and tell your site visitors why you took them down.

    mikeyjake, you promoted ebates?

Well, it was a big mistake, but you should learn from it. The key is not to repeat the same mistakes, so go and sign up for some reputable, parasite-free merchants.

Yeah yeah, bad to promote ebates - but look at what he is saying. They have gone from screwing merchants, to screwing affiliates and now they are even screwing members.

This is something you can tell end users they will understand.

Of course Todd or Wayne will come in here and tell us how this just another step to empower the user, by not letting them rely on residual income, this empowers them to work harder and make more of their lives.

Once just one of the BHO greedmongers starts using a PONZI scheme to shaft their rewards membership (aka CyberRebates) the entire S/W affiliate game and even the phoney charity fronts will become a big stink on all the merchants and all the networks.

Watch the feds then swoop on in require no BHO management can touch the memberships funds. Networks then will be forced to pay them 2 checks audited by the Feds. One to the perps and one to the membership trust account....

Hell I'm on a roll this week. Which one of the BHO wanks wants to be the next to kite their members out of their share??
